Jackie Lee Henson

Jackie Lee Henson, 63, of Gallipolis, passed away, at 3:55 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at his residence. Born July 1, 1952, in Pomeroy, Ohio he was the son of the late Jack and Juanita E. Kent Henson. Jack was the Gallipolis Career College Admissions Director. He also was a member of the Rodney Pike Church of God, he also loved animals, and he was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes.  

Jackie is survived by his wife Brenda Grim Henson; daughters, Tawnya (Jason) Metzger, of Chillicothe, and Suzanne (Mike) Eachus, of Gallipolis; a son, Drew (Samantha) Henson, of Columbus; granddaughters, Lauren Eachus and Josie Metzger.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016 in the Rodney Pike Church of God. Pastor Ron Bynum will officiate. Interment will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery. Drew Henson, Jason Metzger, Mike Eachus, Jon Rothgeb, Joey Wills, and Bobby Grim will serve as casketbeares, honorary casketbearers are, Dave Burnett, Randy Harrison, Don Saxon, Fred Burnette, and Dave Durbin. Friends may call two hours prior to the funeral service at the Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Jackie’s name to the God’s Hands at Work, PO Box 67 Vinton, Ohio 45686 or Serenity House, PO Box 454, Gallipolis, Ohio 45631.
