Carole Lee "Katy" Naskey, 82, Gallipolis, passed away late Monday evening, April 3, 2017, at her home. Naskey, who she married August 2, 1952 in Buckhannon, WV. Her sister, Janet Bias,Estes Park, Colorado, also survives. Also surviving are her daughters, Kim (Mike) Canaday, Becky (Jon) Rothgeb and Lori (Tom) Young, all of Gallipolis as well as her grandchildren, Amy (Arnie) Duke, Noblesville, Indiana, Casey (Rosie) Canaday, Gallipolis, Heath (Jodi) Rothgeb, Bailey, Colorado, Tessa (Tyler) Tandal, Columbus, Ohio, Alyssa (Greg) Cepluch, Fishers, Indiana and Drew Young, Hillard, Ohio. After marrying Frank, Katy served as a secretary at the Pentagon, serving in the weapons defense department. After moving to Gallipolis in 1959 she worked at the old Holzer Hospital in downtown Gallipolis and later was one of the first employees at the Robbins & Myers Plant. Many will remember Katy as the co-owner, with her husband Frank, of the Goodie Shoppe on Court Street which served hundreds of students each month for many years.

Katy was also very involved in her daughters' and grandchildrens' activities such as the PTA, Girl Scouts, Athletic and Band Boosters in which she served as an officer and project chairman for two generations. Although she was a transplanted West Virginian, she loved the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds as much as WVU and Marshall. She enjoyed attending as many Gallia Academy Blue Devil events as possible. Katy was loyal, determined and strong in her convictions. She will be missed by many.

The Naskey family would like to thank Holzer Hospice for their kindness, care and support thoughout her last days.
