Eulah Miller Brown, of Gallipolis, 96, passed away, at 4:10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 18, at the Arbors of Gallipolis after an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Augustus P. and Vera Mae Rice Miller, of Cadmus. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey E. Brown, Jr., a son, Gary L. Brown, a sister, Odella Kerns, and a brother, Clayton Miller.

She graduated from Cadmus High School in 1930. She then moved to Gallipolis where she met Harvey. They were married while he was stationed for basic training in Florida on February 17, 1943. Jay Bradshaw, optometrist. After she retired, she worked at Knight’s Department Store on holidays and took care of her grandchildren.

Eulah lived in Gallipolis most of her life and was a friend to many of the downtown merchants who she visited daily on her walks around town. She liked to travel to the beach, enjoyed camping, and spending time with her large family.

She became Nana in 1973 with the birth of her first grandchild and has been known as that ever since. She is survived by a daughter, Peggy (Charles) Huber, of Gallipolis, a daughter-in-law, Jan Brown, of Gallipolis, grandchildren, Toby Brown, of Gallipolis, Amy Huber, of Silver Spring, Md., and Abbey (Dave) Russell, of Gallipolis. She, also, had five great-grandchildren, Bayla Brown, Emily Sechler, Alex, Gabe, and Sami Russell. Eulah was an aunt and great aunt to many, whom she loved dearly.
