Lewis Owen Pickett

Lewis Owen Pickett, 65, of the Letart Falls Community, passed away at 2:40 P.M. Saturday, December 2, 2017, in the St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. Born April 10, 1952 in Crown City, Ohio he was the son of the late Max and Thelma Warren Pickett. He was preparing to retire at the end of this month from the Martin Marietta Materials Corp. with 41 years of service as a heavy equipment operator. Lewis was a 1970 graduate of Hannan Trace High School at Mercerville. Surviving is his wife of 42 years, Judy Michael Pickett, whom he married February 22, 1975 in Crown City, his daughter, Tracy Pickett, of Racine, and his son, Zachary (Krystal) Pickett, of Racine.Also surviving are the apples of his eyes, his granddaughters Ashlyn and and Miyah Pickett, both of Racine, sister, Linda (Randy) Brown, of Gallipolis and brother, Larry Pickett, of Gallipolis, his father-in-law, Charles Michael, of Racine and a special friend, William Wine, also of Racine. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his angel in Heaven, Hallie Reid Pickett and his mother-in-law, Patricia Michael. Funeral services will be 12 Noon Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Racine. Officiating will be Rev. James Acree. Interment will be in the Letart Falls Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 - 8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
