Rita Lou Mitchell

Rita Lou Mitchell, 54, Gallipolis, passed away at 1:59 A.M. Wednesday, August 30, 2017, in the Wexner Medical Center at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio following a long period of failing health. Born September 20, 1962 in Logan, West Virginia she was the daughter of Geraldine McChristian Glick Hager, Gallipolis and the late Bill Glick. She was a homemaker and long time member of the Gallipolis Church of Christ in Christian Union. Rita is survived by her mother and step-father, Geraldine and Paul Hager, of Gallipolis, her two sons, Charles McGraw, Columbus, Ohio and Ryan (Jessica) Ashworth, Gallipolis, grandchildren, Haylie Ashworth, Kaitlyn Ashworth and Brycteen Ashworth, all of Gallipolis, her twin sister, Nita (Robert) McBride, Gallipolis, brothers, Billy (Tammy) Glick, Nelsonville, Ohio, Tim (Susan) Hager, Proctorville, Ohioand Todd Hager, Proctorville, Ohio, sister, Marsha Marciano, Naples, Florida, nieces, Michelle Glick, Gallipolis, Chassidy Thompson, Naples, Florida, Allison Navy and family, Proctorville, Ohio, Joanne (Mike) Norton, Columbus, Ohio, three great-nieces, Chassidy Rupe and Kaylee Rupe, of Gallipolis and Mackenzie Norton, Columbus, Ohio, two great-nephews, Jacob Rupe, Gallipolis and Mason Norton, Columbus. Rita was loved by many friends and extended family. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Hager and a great-nephew, Matthew Rupe. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 5, 2017, in the Gallipolis Church of Christ in Christian Union. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Buchanan. Interment will be in the Providence Cemetery in Clay Township. Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Rita's arrangements are entrusted to the Cremeens-King Funeral Home.
