Alfonso Morris Blazer, 47, Gallipolis (Green Township) passed away at 6:58 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026 in the St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. Born April 16, 1978 in Gallipolis, Ohio he was the son of the late J. R. Blazer and Diana Johnson. He was a concrete finisher for David Boggs Concrete Construction.
Alfonso is survived by his wife. Amy Jo Rittenhouse Blazer, whom he married May 11, 1996 in Crown City, Ohio, his children, Marina Rittenhouse, of Huntington, West Virginia, Alfonso J. (Brooklin) Blazer, of Gallipolis, Brandon L. Blazer, of Gallipolis and Elizabeth E. (Tommy Binshall) of Pomeroy, Ohio, his grandchildren, Kinsley Blazer, Gracie Freeman, Colyn Blazer, Gabbie Freeman, Parker Blazer, Cole Blazer, Torian Brown and Noni Freeman. He is also survived by his sister, Cuma Blazer, of Rutland, Ohio and two half-brothers, Tony Allen Lambert, of Gallipolis and Matthew Burns, of Gallipolis. A very special friend, Sam Walters, of Gallipolis survives and does numerous other close friends.
In addition to his parents, Alfonso was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth L. Blazer.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2026, in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Chris Cox. Friends may call two hours prior to the funeral service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
