Anna Phillips, age 40, passed away peacefully on December 5th, 2025, after a short battle with cancer in Huntington, WV. Anna lived life to the fullest and put a smile on the face of anyone who met her. Anna was born on March 1st, 1985, in West Virginia. She is the daughter of William and Donna Phillips.
Anna was very active in her life and made relationships everywhere she went. She always brightened up a room when she walked in. Anna had a way of realizing when someone was down and knew how to lift them back up again. If you had the pleasure of knowing Anna, odds are that she taught you something about life.
She enjoyed participating in recreational activities and was very involved in her community. Anna was a proud member of the PALS Thunder basketball team and became a leader. She would always recognize when a teammate was down and motivated them to overcome their challenges they faced. Her PALS family is overwhelmingly grateful and considers themselves lucky to have had such a great role model, even though her time with them was entirely too short. The passion she showed friends and family will never be forgotten. Her legacy was a life of love, compassion, and devotion to helping others.
All of her PALS friends and family and service coordination team members will miss her greatly. Anna left this world a better place than she found it. PALS will have a Celebration of Life for Anna in the Spring.
