Barbara Bonen

Barbara Bonen, 79, of Vinton, passed away, on Monday, November 8, 2021 in the Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born December 1, 1941 in Huntington Township, of Gallia County, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Blondena Rader Morris. She was a homemaker and member of the Bible Baptist Church in Wellston, Ohio.

She is survived by her children, Russell (Connie) Stephens, of Crown City, Raymond (Susan) Stephens, of Gallipolis, Betty (Jim) Northup, of Jackson, Michael Stephens, and Thomas Stephens, both of Vinton, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. A brother, Bill Morris, of Grove City, Ohio, sisters, Alice Gilbert, of Cheshire, Diana (Chad) Griffin, of Clarksville, Tenn., Carol (Charles) Mahan, of Willow Wood, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Bonen, a grandson, Raymond “Bubby” Stephens, a great-grandson, James Corvin, a brother, Cecil Morris, and a sister, Mary Morris.

In keeping with Barbara’s wishes there will be no calling hours nor funeral services. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis, is entrusted with the arrangements.
