Betty Louise Cook, 92, of Gallipolis, passed away, on October 2, 2021 in the Bristol Village, Waverly, Ohio. Born February 5, 1929, in Hewett, West Virginia she was the daughter of the Late Charles W. and Nessel Fry Gore. She spent her life working on her dairy farm beside her husband Edgar French Cook, Jr., who preceded her on September 7, 1994.
She is survived by her daughters, Catherine L. Spencer, and Christi (Dwight) Rees, both of Thurman, grandchildren, Christina (Johnny) Clay, Nick Nolan, Melisa (Eric) Barnette, Josh Cook, Amy (Matthew) Toler, Abby (Patrick) Saunders. Fifteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and a brother, Joe Gore, of Beckley, West Virginia, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by her sons, Rodney Charles Cook on December 12, 2013, and Richard Lewis Cook on August 19, 2014, a grandson, Justin Cook, and a great-great grandson, brothers Glenn and Emil Gore, and a sister, Ruth Bias.
In keeping with Betty’s wishes there will be no funeral nor calling hours. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Hope Mausoleum at the convenience of the family. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis is entrusted with the arrangements.
