Betty L. Capehart Moore, Perry Township, passed away, at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at her residence. Born February 25, 1939, in New Haven, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara M. Rollins Capehart. She was the first female claims adjuster for the United States Fidelity and Guaranty company, she also worked in the accounting department at Federal Mogel. Betty served as an advisor for the Alpha Mu Beta soroirty and she attended the Bulaville Christian Church.
Betty is survived by her sons, Carl (Angie) Moore, of Columbus, and Chris (Margarette) Moore, of Enterprise, Alabama, grandchildren, Tara (Jeremy) Clayton, of Sierra Vista, Arizona, and Erin Moore, of Columbus. Great-grandchildren, Killian Wharton, Evan Wharton, and Gabriel Clayton, a sister-in-law, Linda Capehart, of Columbus, Ohio and several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Loren Eugene “Geno” Moore, and brothers, Allen, and Okey Capehart.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025 in the Bulaville Christian Church.
