Charles “Charlie” Daniel Griffith, 75, of Bidwell, Ohio, passed away on May 29, 2025.
Charlie was a loving husband, father, grandfather and proud U.S. Army veteran. He was a dedicated employee of OVEC Kyger Creek Power Plant, where he worked for 39 years before his retirement. He was a man of strength, steady commitment, and deep devotion to his family.
Charlie is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Rebecca “Becky” Griffith; daughters Ashley (Josh) Roach and Stephanie (Alex) Beelen; and his cherished grandchildren Parker Roach, Rayna Beelen, and Grady Beelen. He also leaves behind his sisters Judy (Earl) Bennett, Melody Stumbo, and Dorothy (James) Cavins; brothers Kenny (Susie) Griffith, Oscar (Tammy) Griffith, and Jack (Sharon) Griffith, sister-in-law Jeannie (Richard) Hampton and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Mary (Banks) Griffith; his in-laws, AJ and Irene Raines; and his brother, Robert Griffith.
Charlie was a passionate sports fan, especially when it came to Ohio State football. Whether it was cheering on the Buckeyes or watching his grandkids, sports brought him great joy. More than anything, though, he found his greatest pride in his family.
A private service will be held by the family to honor and celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take a moment to enjoy a game, share a story, or spend time with those you love.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
