Charles “Bucky” R. Webb, 81, of Thurman, passed away, at 5:20 am on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at his residence. Born April 21, 1944, in Gallipolis he was the son of the late Emmett Webb who was killed in action during World War II and the late Virginia Cook Web Gibson. He grew up in a Christian home. The family wishes to thank Rescare for the excellent care Bucky received for the past 10 years at the special group home. A special thank you to Ray Tope and to nurse Trish McFarland for always being there for Bucky in his final weeks of life.
He is survived by his step-farther whom raised him Roy E. Gibson, brothers, David (Traci) Gibson, and Steven Gibson, a sister Cathy Gibson (Bob) McCulty all of Gallipolis. Nieces Liz McCulty (D.R.) Keeton, and Andrea McCulty (Jake) Gannaway, both of Gallipolis, and nephews, Scott (Millie) Gibson, of Germany, and Mike (Brandi) Gibson. A great-niece, Emmalee Gibson Mollohan, four great-nephews, Jesse (Alice) Gibson, Robbie Keeton, Ethan Gannaway, Dalton Keeton, many aunts and uncles, and numerous cousins also survive.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Nathan and Bertha Webb, and maternal grandparents, John and Mamie Cook, and many aunts, uncles and cousins also.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 6, 2025, in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis. Interment will be in the Mound Hill Cemetery. David Gibson, Steven Gibson, Bob McCulty, Scott Gibson, Robbie Keeton, and Ethan Gannaway will serve as active casket bearers, Larry Cook, Jake Gannaway, D.R. Keeton, and Ray Tope will serve as honorary casket bearers. Friends may call two hours prior to the services on Sunday.
