Christina Hatfield, 86, of Gallipolis, passed away, at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2023 in the Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. Born September 27, 1936, in Milton, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Charles Stanley and Emma Black Ison. She was a caregiver and a retired nurses aid for Holzer.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn (Don) Whealdon, of Bidwell, Jane Taylor, of Gallipolis, and Charles (Herb) Hatfield, of Pahoa, Hawaii. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father, Robert Ison, her husband, Clyde Hatfield, grandchildren, Jason C. Hatfield, and Staci Boster, brothers, George and Ed Stanley, and a sister, Jerry North, and a son-in-law, Russell Taylor.
Graveside services will be held in the Chambers Cemetery, in Milton, West Virginia at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis.
