Danny Lee Cogburn

Danny Lee Cogburn, 73, of Gallipolis, passed away, peacefully at his home at 7:46 p.m. on December 28, 2025. Danny was born on December 27, 1952, in Oakland, California the son of the late John and Patricia Geltz Cogburn. He graduated from Mount Miguel High School, in Spring Valley, California in 1971. After high school he served in the United States Navy. After his military service he worked in the oilfields of Texas before becoming a self-employed long-haul trucker. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and was an avid gun enthusiast. After retiring he settled in Waycross, Georgia.

He is survived by his son, Derek Cogburn, of Gallipolis, granddaughters, Makayla and Savannah, a brother, Donald (Terry) Cogburn, of Kingman, Arizonia, and a sister, Karen (Larry) Kissinger, of Santee, California.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Cogburn.

A United States Navy Burial at Sea will be conducted at a later time and date with full Military Honors. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
