David Darrell Gilbert

David Darrell Gilbert, 50, of Vinton, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at his residence. Born August 27, 1975, in Gallipolis, he was the son of the late Roger and Wanda Nelson Gilbert. He was the owner-operator of Gilbert Trash Service.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Lynn Gillispie Gilbert, stepchildren, Brittany Ramey, of Point Pleasant, WV., Jacob Wallace, of Leon, WV., and Sarah Henry, of Hartford, WV, and five step-grandchildren, Smara, Branlon, Haisley, Zataya, and Zaden. A brother, Robert (Debbie) Gilbert, sisters, Ronda Jenks, and Gail (Richard) Donaldson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members, as well as friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Curtis Gilbert, and Scott Gilbert.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in the Poplar Ridge Cemetery. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis, is entrusted with the arrangements.
