Donald Lewis Lafferre

Donald Lewis Lafferre, 69, a long time Crown City resident for over 30 years, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025, at his Ohio Township home. Born December 9, 1955, in Parkersburg, West Virginia he was the son of the late Lewis and Betty Milhoan Lafferre. Don graduated from the Symmes Valley High School and after his graduation he served four years in the United States Air Force. He worked as an auto mechanic all his adult life and also was employed at Rockwell Corporation for several years.

Don is survived by his son, Christopher (Jenny) Lafferre, his grandchildren, Connor, Isabella, Mark and Matthew Lafferre, three sisters, Laura Lafferre Salazar, of Stanhope, New Jersey, Leesa (Rhyde Thomas) Lafferre-Thomas, of Montville, Ohio and Brenda Lafferre, of Bridgewater, New Jersey. Also surviving are his nephews, Neil Pathak, of Nutley, New Jersey, Adam (Jessica) Waugh (Samuel Alexander Adam Waugh - AJ) of Huntington, West Virginia and his niece, Maya Pathak, of Bridgewater, New Jersey.

Visitation services will take place from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, Saturday, August 30, 2025, in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis. Graveside services, with military honors, will follow in the Rome Cemetery in Lawrence County, Ohio. Family and friends will gather at 3:00 pm at the VFW Hall, 134 3rd Avenue, Gallipolis for a late lunch.   Memorials may be made in Don's memory to a cancer research organization of your choosing.
