Donald Lewis Smith

Donald Lewis Smith, 86, of Pomeroy, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 4:40p.m. in the Overbrook Center in Middleport, Ohio.  Born October 20, 1939, he was the son of the late Walter and Ruth McPherson Smith. Donald was a cab driver for Yellow Taxi and a United States Navy Veteran.

Donald is survived by his wife, Sharon Brown Smith of Middleport, OH, children, Kimberly Smith of OH, Sherri Smith of Columbus, Ohio, Donald E. Smith of Punxsutawney, PA, Jessica Smith of Pomeroy, OH, and stepson, Chris Brown of Middleport, OH.  Special grandchildren Katelyn Frye, Kearsten Eakins, Genevieve Hershman, Temberley Johnson, and numerous other grandchildren also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Matthew Brown, a brother, Dan Smith, and a sister, Rebecca Smith.

Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Pomeroy, Ohio is entrusted with Donald’s arrangements.
