Dottie F Curtis, 80, of Racine, passed away peacefully at her residence at 2:00 a.m. on Monday, August 11, 2025. Born February 5, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Garnet Eads Moore. Dottie was a graduate of Racine High School and was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Pomeroy. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school, spending time with children, and word-search puzzles. She was fun-loving and light-hearted with a gift for storytelling.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 61 years, Charles Thomas Curtis, her daughter Lina Ann McDonald and husband Eric, her granddaughters, Hailey Crockett and husband Noah, Kaitlin McDonald and fiancé Justice Courrier, and Sophie McDonald. Her sister, Helena Riggs and husband Roger, twelve nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and great nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five of her siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Racine, with Pastor John Swanson officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will take place for 10a.m. – 11 a.m. on the day of the service. The family would like to invite all to come and join them in celebrating Dottie’s life and bring your favorite stories of her to share.
