Freddie Connery Obituary

Freddie Keith Connery, 89, of Red House, formerly of St. Albans, went home to be with his Savior, on a snowy Sunday morning, January 25, 2026, at Abbyshire Place, Bidwell, OH.

He was born on February 2, 1936, to Dewey and Clara Connery, who preceded him in death, as well as four brothers, one sister, two infant sisters, and his granddaughter, Emeri Connery.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Flora (Judy) Connery, daughter Jo Barker (Doug), grandchildren Elliott Stevens, Savannah Corns, and Noah Barker; son Fred Connery, Jr. (Dianne), grandchildren Madison Trace, Klint and Kyle Connery; son, Dan Connery (Charles Kiriakos); great grandchildren Violet and Asa Corns, Boone Barker, Mason and Camden Trace, Chase Connery, and one on the way.

He was a graduate of St. Albans High School and Tennessee Temple University. He was a US Navy Veteran. He was a pastor for over forty years. He founded Peoples Baptist Church of Scott Depot. His desire to reach others for Christ was his life’s mission.

He lived out his faith by showing kindness to everyone. He took pizzas and veggie trays to the ladies at his bank drive-thru. He took donuts to the DOH workers’ garage. He gave to the waste management men. He always looked for ways to bless others that may be overlooked. He loved fishing, carpentry, and fixing things. He was always busy doing something and literally could not sit still.

He loved his family fiercely, and his greatest love was his wife, Judy, whom he was never seen without. His sense of humor will live on. He would show up to do projects for his family and when he finished, he would leave cash and say, “You didn’t expect me to do that for nothing, did you?” We can’t remember him without remembering all the “Fredisms.” So many of his quirks weren’t known by everyone, mostly just those closest to him. They were truly hilarious and will be passed down throughout time.

There will be no services at this time.
