Geraldine “Granny” Hager, 84, of Vinton, passed away at 10:53 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, in the Abbyshire Place, Bidwell. Born February 9, 1940, in Hatfield Bottom in Mingo County, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late John Sanford and Moni Fraley McChristian. She was a homemaker and a member of the Gallipolis Church of Christ in Christian Union.
She is survived by her five children, Marsha Marciano, of Naples, Florida, Billy (Valerie) Glick, Cardington, of Ohio, Nita Glick, of Gallipolis, Todd Hager, of Proctorville, Oh, Timmy (Susan) Hager, Proctorville, Ohio, six grandchildren, Michelle (James Harris) Glick, Charles McGraw, Ryan Ashworth, Joanne (Mike) Norton, Chassidy Thompson, Allison (Ryan) Navy. Nineteen great-grandchildren, Chassidy (Logan Bland) Rupe, Jacob Rupe, Kaylee Rupe, Samantha (Patrick) Nolot, Matthew (Anna) Weddington, Steve Weddington, James Harris, Amanda Harris, Mason Norton, McKenzie Norton, Haley Ashworth, Kaitlyn Ashworth, Bryceten Ashworth, William Hynds, Kinsley Hynds, Jacob Hynds, Aubree Navy, Bentley Navy, Cariss Navy, six great-great grandchildren, Wrenley Bland, Logan Harris, Finley Wooten, Maverick Weddington, Everly Weddington, Kaylynn Casto, three sisters, Connie Gilg, of Columbus, Oh., Irene Tanner, of Michigan, and Elsie Marie Millitti, of Michigan, and a special friend, Ramona Mitchell, of Gallipolis, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parent’s, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul David Hager, on December 8, 2019, a daughter, Rita Mitchell, a son, Terry Hager, a great-grandson, Mathew Rupe, great-granddaughters, Kami and Kealy Allison, a great-great grandson, Luca Kai Harris, brothers, John McChristian, William Ray McChristian, Richard Lee McChristian, Charles Edward McChristian, sisters, Ginger Morris, Freda Finnamore, Charlene Bagley, Tommie Ellen McChristian, and Kay Flannigan.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025, in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis with Pastor Mike Buchannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens, Gallipolis. Friends may call two hours prior to the services at the funeral home.
