Herston Ray Jarvis

Herston Ray Jarvis, 85, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away, on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at his residence. Born February 5, 1939, in Olive Hill, Kentucky he was the son of the late Wayne and Clara Mowery Jarvis. He was a retired welder for Duplex Mill and Manufacturing, in Springfield, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Sue Preston Jarvis, whom he married on May 15, 1965, in Cheshire, a son Eric Edward (Linda) Jarvis, of Hermitage, Tennessee, and grandsons, Daniel John (Rachel) Jarvis, Garett Preston (Rachel) Jarvis, and Coleton Edward Jarvis. A sister, Donna Jarvis Yeauger, of Cheshire, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Beatrice Clark, Evelyn Dent, and Betty Venable, his brothers, James Roy Jarvis, and Jack Jarvis.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis. Interment will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
