Ida Mae Evans, 70, of Gallipolis, passed away at 5:26 PM on Friday, September 12, 2025, at her residence. Born October 4, 1954 in Gallia County she was the daughter of the late John William and Oliva Fern Bammer Mills. She was a 1972 graduate of Gallia Academy High School, A graduate of Holzer School of Nursing, a B.S. from Ohio University, and a masters of nursing from Marshall University. She was a retired Nurse Practitioner and a member of the Rio Grande Christian Church.
She is survived by her three daughters, Nicole Adams, of Gallipolis, Mekenzie (Paul) Loli, of Moorehead, North Carolina, and Carly (Robert Chauvin) France, of Houma, Louisiana, her three grandchildren, Morgan (Josh) Johnson, Jill Montgomery, Eva Mae Loli. A sister, Mary Brodwolf, of Tampa Florida, brothers, Andy Mills, of Bidwell, David Schultz, of Tampa, Fl., and Joshua Barcus, of Sandusky, Oh., and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Denny Yoste.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, September 19, 2025 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis with Rev. Jeff Patrick officiating. A nurse memorial service will be provided by the Nurse Honor Guard of the Ohio Valley prior to the funeral. Friends may call from 5-7 PM at the funeral home on Friday.
