James “Jim” Ysseldyke, 83, of Vinton, passed away, at 7:55 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, in the Abbyshire Place, Bidwell. Born September 13, 1941, in Columbus, he was the son of the late William and Gertrude Watson Ysseldyke. He was a retired Plumer and Pipefitter and member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 189, Columbus. He also was a United States Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Adams Ysseldyke, his step-son, Tim (Karen Weaver) Butler, of Delaware, Oh, a step-daughter, Carolyn Renee (Mike) Parsons, Cridersville, Oh., grandchildren, Addyson Butler, Hollie Groves, Clint Groves, Jamie Perkins, and Tony Groves, and five great-grandchildren. A brother, Don Ysseldyke, of Florida, a sister, Fran Painter, Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Tom, Bill, and Bud Ysseldyke, sisters, Marion Wear, Sue Neister, and Doris Lowry.
Cremation services are entrusted to the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis.
