John Fisher, Jr., 92 of Rocksprings, formerly of Racine, passed away at 6:35pm, Saturday, October 11, 2025, while residing at Overbrook Rehabilitation Center in Middleport, Ohio. Born in Racine on Saturday, April 15, 1933, he was the son of John Fisher, Sr. and Icybelle “Icy” Maddox Fisher. John graduated from Racine High School, where he played basketball and baseball. After graduation, he served two years in the United States Army, stationed outside of Paris, France during the reconstruction effort following World War II.
When he returned home, he went to work for the newly completed Kyger Creek Power Plant, where he worked until his retirement. John was also known for his work on many local Volkswagens and for being a local basketball referee.
He is survived by his three children, Molly Arms, Larry (Bambi) Fisher, and Amy Mullins, his seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Jessica, John, Jordan, Tierney, Padraic, and Bethany, and his three great-grandchildren, Isaac, Eli, and Ela. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Jeane Fisher and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his six brothers and one sister, and two sons-in-law, Mark Kreuzer and Tom Arms.
Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home of Racine is entrusted with future arrangements.
