Judith “Judi” Webster Obituary

Judith "Judi" Webster, affectionately known as "Grandma JuJu," passed away early Sunday morning. A woman of remarkable generosity and kindness, Judi touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She is survived by her son Joseph Webster (Wendy Fairchild), and her daughter, Jeannine (Gregg) Landis, as well as her adored grandchildren, Caiden Landis, Joey Webster, Mollie Landis, Andrew Webster, and Ryann Landis.

She was the beloved daughter of Fredrick W. Shuler and Virginia Drake Shuler. Judi was a proud graduate of Berea High School as well as a successful and dedicated nurse, educated by the Holzer Hospital School of Nursing in Gallipolis, Ohio. On June 15, 1963, she married Joseph Webster, a former U.S. Air Force veteran, and together they built a life of love and devotion in Gallipolis, where they raised their two children and created a lasting legacy of warmth and generosity. She also loved to travel with her husband, exploring the world. Her favorite trips included touring Alaska, Europe, and Israel, where she obtained the water from the Jordan River that would later baptize her adored grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings, Fred Shuler and Ellen Cooper, along with loving cousins and extended family members who will forever hold her memory dear.

Judi was well known for her deep commitment to her church, where she spent many cherished hours. She loved playing cards with her friends, watching sporting events like tennis matches and would never miss a single Hallmark movie. But most of all, she loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

Judith Webster will be laid to rest on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Mound Hill Cemetery during a private family service. Judi will also be honored at the graveside by the Nurse Honor Guard of the Ohio Valley.

In lieu of flowers, we request that all donations be made to Grace Methodist Church or Saint Jude Children’s Hospital.

Her family is comforted by the outpouring of love and support from her friends and community, knowing that Judi’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
