Kathleen K. Corbitt, 84, of Azle Texas, and formerly of Racine, Ohio, passed away, at 2:52 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at her residence. Born May 14, 1938, in Gay, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Okey Junior and Edna Bernice Waybright Knopp. She was a homemaker and a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, in Syracuse where her husband Pastored for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. James Corbitt Sr., whom she married on May 18, 1957, in Gay WV., her children, James (Connie) Corbitt, Jr., of Milton, WV., Juanita Kay (John) Nunnaly, of Azle, Tx., Gail Jean (David) Donley, of Fort Worth, Tx., Shelly (Ron) McLain, of Fort Worth, TX., and Mark David (Robin) Corbitt, of Racine. Sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, a sister, Paulette (Glenn) Cole, of Plattsburg, Ohio, a brother, Paul Knopp, of Gay, WV., and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katie Steedman, a brother, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, October 31, 2022, in the Chapel of the Letart Falls Cemetery, with Rev. Wesley Thoene officiating. Interment will follow. Friends may call at the Chapel an hour prior to the service. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Racine, is entrusted with the arrangements.
