Leoma Joann Wheeler, 78, of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, passed away at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026, in the Emergency Department, at the River Health Hospital, Point Pleasant, WV. Born July 7, 1947, in Gallipolis, she was the daughter of the late John and May Patterson chick. She was a retired phlebotomist, and she worked for Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio and the Southeast Alabama Medical Center, in Dothan, Alabama during her career.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Wheeler, of Point Pleasant, a son, Frank Kirby Jr., of Beverly, Ohio, stepsons, Eric Neal Wheeler, and Brian Kent Wheeler, a stepdaughter, Kristin Anne Wheeler. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, Robert Lee Kirby, Bryan Craig Kirby, and John Edward Kirby.
Private interment will be in the Henderson Cemetery, in Henderson, West Virginia. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis, is entrusted with the arrangements.
