Leverna Hoffman

Leverna Hoffman, 76, of Pomeroy, Ohio passed away at 10:20 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at her residence.  Born June 30, 1949, she was the daughter of Charles and Nellie Cozart Jackson.  She retired from AEP where she worked in the accounting department of the Philip Sporn Power Plant.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Hoffman, of Pomeroy, OH, her children Cynthia (Paul) Council, of Pomeroy, OH, Christine (Blane) Ferrell, of Goose Creek, SC, Rebecca Smith, of Pomeroy, OH, William Kauff Jr., of Marietta, OH, Benjamin Kauff, of Pomeroy, OH, and Hannah (Colby Dotson) Hoffman, of Pomeroy, OH, fifteen grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.  Brothers, Charles (Cathy) Jackson Jr., of Cincinnati, OH, and Leon (Kathy) Coleman, of Illinois, sister, June Jackson, of Texas, special niece Julie Bowman, special nephew Garry “Bub” Bowman, and many other nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joshua Kauff, a grandchild, sisters, Bertha Jackson, Shirley Bowman, Alberta Burnette, and Ina Coleman, and brother-in-law Garry Bowman.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, in Pomeroy, Ohio with Pastor Teddy Tackett officiating.  Interment will follow in the Hemlock Grove Cemetery.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m.-1:00p.m. the day of the service.
