Linda Carole Stobart, 82, of Vinton, Ohio, formerly of the Bradbury Road community of Middleport, peacefully passed away at 4:09 p.m. at her home on Monday, June 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on August 31, 1943, in Charleston, West Virginia, Linda was the daughter of the late Homer and Edith Lambert Forrest. Linda treasured her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Linda dedicated more than 20 years of service to the Meigs Local School District, where she worked as a secretary and touched many lives. She was also a faithful member of the Bradford Church of Christ.
She leaves behind her children, Belinda Grimm Roush Pendleton (Buford Smallwood Sr.), Homer Jennings “H.J.” Grimm (Alonna Cleland), and Zach Grimm; her grandchildren, Buford Wayne Smallwood Jr., Harley Bob Smallwood, Nicole Black Fleshman (Curtis), Tori Saunders, and Nathan Cash Grimm; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Baelyn Rhyne, Christian Rhyne, Bambi Smallwood, Buford Smallwood III, Hunter Smallwood, and Noah Cash Grimm Turner. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Forrest Hysell; her nephews, Brian Hysell and Stacy Duncan; and her devoted caretaker, Jennifer Bowen.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Stobart; her daughters, Edie Roush and Michelle Stobart; her granddaughters, Amber Roush and Kristin Grimm; her grandson, Roger Grimm; her brother, Bill Sayre Forrest; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at the Cremeens-King Funeral Home in Pomeroy, Ohio, on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Curtis Fleshman officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery. Friends may visit from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
