Margaret A. Ward

Margaret A. Ward, 80, Pomeroy, passed away at 10:40 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2024, in the Overbrook Center in Middleport. Born January 20, 1944, in Scipio Township of Meigs County she was the daughter of the late Roy and Margaret Luellen Ellis. She was a retired nurses aide at Hickory Creek of Athens. Margaret is survived by her children, Rebecca Ward, of Pomeroy, Susan (Loren) Hogsett, of Folley Beach, South Carolina and Lee (Renee Roush) Ward, of Canton, Ohio, her grandchildren, Kayleigh Haning, Alisha Wazney, Ethan Ward, Jordan Roush, Brandy Ward, Courtney Ward, Chelsea Ward, John Curtis Ward, Charity Breyer, Matthew Folmer and Ella Rider, her great-grandchildren, Parker, Kylee, Asher, Regan and several other great-grandchildren. Margaret is also survived by two nieces, Julie Marsh, of Chillicothe, Ohio and Nancy Marsh, of Chillicothe, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Ward, on August 18, 1981, a son, John Ward, and a grandson, Jesse Ward. In keeping with Margaret’s wishes there are no calling hours or funeral service. She will be interred next to her late husband, Curtis, in the Wells Cemetery. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Middleport-Pomeroy Chapel, is serving the Ward family.
