Obituary

Marshall William McCorkle, 79, of Gallipolis, passed away, at 10:53 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, in the Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. Born August 16, 1943, in Bellaire, Ohio he was the son of the late Marshall Roscoe and Katherine Crozier McCorkle. He was a graduate of the Ohio State University with a degree in industrial engineering. He was a member of the Machine Operators, Assemblers and Inspectors Association and he retired from John Sang Ford.

He is survived by his daughters, Hattie Rossiter, of Bidwell, Brandy (David) Wilson, of Bidwell, and a son, Marshall Brandy McCorkle, of Dundalk, Maryland, grandchildren, Hannah Williams, of Gallipolis, Shania (Nathan) Ward, of Chillicothe, and several great-grandchildren. A brother, Randy McCorkle, of Bellaire, Oh., a sister, Marsha (Junior) Jackson, also of Bellaire, Oh., and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Edward Lee McCorkle, and a sister, Gloria Palmer.

Private entombment will be in the Holly Memorial Gardens, in Pleasant Grove, Ohio. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis, is entrusted with the arrangements.
