Martha Delong, 88, of Crown City, went to be with the Lord, at 9:05 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. She was born October 24, 1935, in Inez, Kentucky, to the late Therlo and Ora Woods Reynolds. Martha enjoyed many years as a homemaker. She was a devout Christian who loved to sing and hum her favorite hymns. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She never met a stranger and loved her family deeply.
She was a beloved mother, aunt, and grandmother, she is survived by two daughters, Lola Mitch, of Crown City, and Jeanette (Larry) Palmer, of Florida, thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Richards, a son, Junior Delong, and six siblings.
In keeping with family wishes there will be no services. A celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis is entrusted with the arrangements.
