Michael Smith

Michael Smith, 77, Syracuse, passed away at 2:49 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2025, in the Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio. Born December 2, 1948 in Pomeroy, Ohio he was the son of the late Robert and Donna Rumbaugh Smith. Michael was retired from the United States Postal Service in Columbus, Ohio. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force from 1968-1975, serving in Vietnam. He is survived by his brother, David Smith, of Syracuse and his niece, Randi Smith Morgan, of Nitro, West Virginia.  In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by a niece, Amber Doss and special friend, Sue Simpson. There are no calling hours for funeral service. Cremation services are entrusted to the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Racine.
