Peggy A Proffitt

Peggy A Proffitt, 72, of Racine, passed away at 4:50 am on Sunday, August 10, 2025, in the Overbrook Center.  Born August 1, 1953, in Portland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Betty Wolfe Proffitt.  Peggy retired from Crow’s Steakhouse in Pomeroy.

Peggy is survived by her siblings, Lola Proffitt, of Racine, Esther Leget, of New Haven, Ray (Shelia) Proffitt, of Racine, and Albert (Pat Barnette) Proffitt, of Racine.  Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Racine with Pastor Jamie Fortner officiating.  Family and friends may call 1 hour before the service.  Private family interment will take place following the service.
