Phyllis (Criner) Rowland

Phyllis Rowland, 95, of Gallipolis, passed away at 2:18 am on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Holzer Assisted Living, Gallipolis. Born September 14, 1930, in Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Rudy and Lena Mae Walker Criner. Phyllis was a homemaker.

She is survived by her special cousin, Sue Paulus, of Grove City, granddaughter, Dara Lynn (Shawn) Ratner, of Orlando, Florida, great-grandchildren, Victoria Ratner, and Alex Ratner. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Rowland, daughter, Beverly Lawrence, brothers, O’Dell Criner, and Ervin Criner.

In keeping with her Phyllis wishes graveside services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 1:00 pm in the Pine Street Cemetery. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis, is entrusted with the arrangements.
