Ralph Michael “Mike” Jarrell 69, of Patriot, passed away peacefully, at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2024 at his home where he was with his family. Mike knew his Lord and Savior and had his close friend and Pastor Doug Miller to bring him peace of mind as to his future after passing.
Born April 19, 1955, in Charleston West Virginia, he was the son of the late Ralph and Mona Frye Jarrell Sr. He was a Coal Miner and welder for the Crown City Mines. He was a master Mason of Ohio Valley Lodge #536 Crown City, and was an avid outdoorsman. He however, loved nothing more than watching NASCAR Races and West Virginia University football games with his grandson Kevin.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Ronk Jarrell, his three children, Tresa (Adam) Somers, of Wilkes, North Carolina, Amanda (Eric) Anderson, of Harmony, NC, and Kenneth “Mike” (Heather) Jarrell, of Patriot, Ten Grandchildren, Brandi, Courtney, Sophia, Josie, Erica, Brodie, Kevin, Kaitlyn, Hayden, and Jeffrey, and three great-grandchildren and more on the way. Brothers, Larry Jarrell, of Gallipolis, James (Judy) Jarrell, of Gallipolis, sisters, Priscilla Henson, of Point Pleasant, and Marla (Jerry) Hensley, of Athens, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Steve Jarrell, and sisters, Sue Rogers, and Debra Scott.
The family would like to thank his caregivers his son, Mike and wife Heather, his grandson Kevin and his wife Rita, and the wonderful nurses from Holzer Hospice.
The very last thing he told his family was “Go Vote for Trump!”
Cremation services are entrusted to the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis.
