Robert Kormanik, 71, of Gallipolis, passed away, at 11:22 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024 at his residence. Born January 30, 1953, in Akron, Ohio he was the son of the late Fredrick and Jayne Haynes Kormanik. He worked in the roofing industry and was a jack of all trades.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen Murphy Kormanik, whom he married in Akron, on April 26, 1979, his daughters, Lena Kormanik, of Cleveland, Oh., Jacqueline Kormanik, of Columbus, Kiesla Kormanik, of Henderson, WV., Trisha Eddy, of Akron, and Melaine Knight, of Akron, sons, Joseph Kormanik, and Charles Kormanik, both of Gallipolis. Grandchildren, Lillian Phoenix, Jayona Phoenix, Abby Harvey, Dylan Kormanik, Miles Kormanik, Isaac Kormanik, Shyann Williams, David Knight, Larry Kight, and Micheal Knight, great-grandchildren, Miley Birtcher, Asherah Wright-Phoenix, Azrael Wright-Phoenix, Ryder West, and Maxwell Williams, brothers, Fred Kormanik, of California, and Jimmy Kormanik, of Akron, sisters, Alice Chakonas, of Akron, Tresa Kormanik, of Akron, and Jayne Kormanik, of Akron, his canine companion Gizmo, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis, is entrusted with the arrangements.
