Robert “Bob” C. Hill, 96, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at 9:59 am on Saturday, October 11, 2025, in the Overbrook Rehabilitation Center, Middleport. Born April 15, 1929, in Letart Falls, he was the son of the late Albert “Babe” and Ora Cramlet Hill.
Bob retired from Western Southern Life Insurance in 1983 and was a devoted member of the Racine United Methodist Church. He was also a proud member of “The Hardly Able Construction Company,” a group instrumental in building the Church that still stands today.
He is survived by his sister, Shelba (Waid) Foster, of Marietta, Oh., and two sons, Pat (Nancy) Hill and Jay (Brenda) Hill, both of Syracuse,
Bob was the grandfather to, Rob (Shelly) Hill, Andrea Hill, Jered (Raberta) Hill, Joe (Lara) Hill, John Hill, James Hill, Ryan Hill, Brice Hill, and Emily (Kyle) Norris, and he was a cherished great-grandfather to, Breanna Hill, Tyler Hill, JP Hill, Joely Hill, Carter Hill, Cameron Hill, Chandler Hill, Chloe Hill, and Olivia Norris.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife of 73 years, Etta Mae Hill; his son, Philip Hill, daughter-in-law, Chris Hill, granddaughter, Susan Hill, great-granddaughter, Kaylyn Hill, a brother, Billy Hill, and sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Hill.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, in the Letart Falls Cemetery, with Pastor Duke Holbert officiating. Interment will follow. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Racine is entrusted with the arrangements.
