Robert "Bob" C. Waugh

Robert “Bob” C. Waugh, 85, of Gallipolis, passed away, at 12:06 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at his residence. Born June 5, 1938, in Marietta, Ohio he was the son of the late H.C. and Anna Roberta Cisler Waugh. He was a retired from the Ohio Bell Telephone and the Gallipolis Developmental Center. He was a member of the Cheshire Baptist Church and attended the River of Life Methodist Church. He also served his country in the United States Army. He also enjoyed coaching his sons, in youth baseball and attended all their sporting events throughout their lives. He was an amazing Grand Pa/ Pa Paw as well.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Thompson Waugh, whom he married on October 1, 1961, in Little Kyger, his three sons who he loved very much, Robert “Rob” (Kelly) Waugh Jr., of Jackson, Oh., Steve (Lisa) Waugh, of Mason, Ohio, and Thom (Charity) Waugh, of New Philadelphia, Ohio. Grandchildren, Andy and his wife Emily, Alex and husband Rorke, Jake and wife Megan, Josie and husband Nathan, Carly, Abby and fiancé Tristan, Dylan, Annie, and Brad, great-grandchildren, Everly and Brantley, a sister-in-law, Ruth (Jerry) Barr, of Gallipolis, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Donald “Don” Waugh.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 16, 2023 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis, with Rev. Larry Fisher officiating. Interment will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
