Roger Shoemaker

Roger Shoemaker, 73, of Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia, and formerly of Cheshire, passed away, at 10:05 p.m., on Thursday, October 21, 2021. Born March 18, 1948 in Cabell County, WV., he was the son of the late Albert and Audra Ratliff Shoemaker.

He is survived by his daughters, Lucia (Doug Trippett) Adams, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV., Ruby (Daryl) Wears, of Cheshire, and Mariah (Jacolby) Hammersley, of Hurricane, WV., grandchildren, Amanda Adams, Patty Spencer, Brianna Spencer, Danielle Adkins, Nathan Spencer, Gage Stewart, Joshuah Lawson, and Julian Hammersley. Six great-grandchildren and another on the way also survive.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Spencer, grandson, Ronald Adams, a great-grandchild, Jalon Adams, brothers, Charles, Bill, Mike, Junior, and Kenny Shoemaker, and a sister, Helen Davis.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Riverview Cemetery, on Monday, October 25, 2021. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Pomeroy is entrusted with the arrangements.
