Shauna A Doucet

Shauna A Doucet passed away at 8:55 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital.  Born May 17, 1963, she was the daughter of Fred Tackett and Ada Yvonne Whittington.  Shauna married John “Johnny” Doucet, who preceded her in death, on May 11, 1991, in Rutland, Ohio.  She worked as a STNA for Rocksprings Nursing and Rehab Center.

She is survived by her children William “Bill” (Carlisa Barton) Tackett, of Middleport, Kasey (Roland Johnson) Doucet, of Middleport, Destany (Frankie Capehart) Doucet, of Racine, grandchildren, Hannah Tackett, Demetrius Tackett, Kasen Doucet, Laith Doucet, Emborley Doucet, and Serenity Capehart, and great-granddaughter Alora Harrison.  Her sister Loretta Atkins also survives.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Sherry Davis, and lifelong friend Tammy Watkins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Pomeroy at 1:00p.m. with Pastor Rod Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Miles Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home starting at 12:00p.m.
