Stephanie L. Stover, 68, of Gallipolis, passed away unexpectedly, at 11:07 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2022 in the Adena Medical Center, in Chillicothe, Ohio. Born December 25, 1953, in Athens, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Thomas L. and Nancy E. Douglas Crossen, who survives in Gallipolis. She was a retired Assistant Vice President of Retail Lending and Loan Operations for the Ohio Valley Bank. She was a member of the Pin Splitters Bowling League, she was a 4H advisor for over twenty years, a member of the Ohio Horseman Council, a member of the North Carolina Basketmakers’ Association, and a longtime vender of the Bob Evans Festival.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer (Philip) Bonzo, and Kristina (Bobby) Nickles, both of Gallipolis, grandchildren, Isabella Bonzo, Brooke Bonzo, Tressel Nickles, and Hayes Nickles. A special friend Larry Daniels, of South Bend, Indiana, and a brother, David Crossen, of Johnsville, Ohio, also survive.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her husband Roger E. Stover, whom she married on September 4, 1976, and preceded her on March 14, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, in Rio Grande. Friends may call two hours prior to the services on Tuesday.
