Thelma Louise Milam, 82, of Pomeroy passed peacefully at home Monday, March 16, 2026. She had recently been in rehabilitation at The Arbors. She was born September 3, 1943, the youngest child of the late Delbert and Ethel Milam of Middleport, Ohio.
Surviving are her children Kevin (Kelly) Milam, Kimberly (Mark) Wise, and Eric (Amy) Johnson. Surviving grandchildren are Kaylee (Eric), Dylan, Abbey (Jon), Aaron, Owen (Ciara) and Madison. Surviving great grandchildren are Eli, Carly and Jason. Special cousin, Ruth Ann “BooBoo” Miller; sister in-law, Carol Milam and special friend Kay Rupe also survive.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Edith Derrick; brothers Jim and Henry Milam; husbands Tyke Johnson, Randolph Fraley and Bill Soulsby; and her beloved Pomeranian JoBo.
Louise enjoyed quilting, ceramics and gardening. She was crafty with her hands and always ready to share a story from her childhood days on the family farm. She had been a cashier at the old Powell’s Supermarket for many years. She also served her community as a home healthcare aid until her own health began to fail.
Visitation Services will be held at Cremeens-King Funeral Home, in Pomeroy, Ohio on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Private burial to follow at Boggess family cemetery in Goldtown, WV.
