Armenta Fern Unroe Kersey, 91, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and formerly of Vinton, passed away, at 3:15 p.m. Saturday, December 24, 2016. Born November 13, 1925 in Gallipolis she was the daughter of the Late Clifford Brammer and Kennith Grace Roberts Unroe. She was a retired after 34 years as an Office Manager for the Oils and Metal Division in Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. She also was a member of the Mina Chapel Church.
She is survived by her brother, James P. (Chunhua) Unroe, of Colorado Springs, Co., sister-in-law, Rebecca Unroe, Gallipolis, nieces, Elaine (Barry) Arnold, Mount Gilead, Ohio, and Yvonne (Jamie) Walker, Phoenix, Arizona, a nephew, Christopher Brent Unroe, Denver, Co.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow M. Kersey, whom preceded her on April 1, 1966, brothers, Wendell and Bruce Unroe.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Chapel, Gallipolis. Pastor Alvis Pollard will officiate and interment will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call from 6-8 pm at the funeral home on Tuesday.
