Shannon Joe Stobart, 10, Cheshire, passed away unexpectedly at 7:45 P.M. Wednesday, November 18, 2015, in the Holzer-Meigs Emergency Department. Born December 29, 2004 in Gallipolis, he was the son of Betty Jo Stover and the late Shannon W. Stobart. Shannon was a fourth grade student at the Meigs Intermediate School. He was a great explorer and loved all of the outdoors, but greatly enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his mother, Betty Jo Stover, Shannon is survived by his half-sister, Janetta (James Langdon) Stover, Middleport, half-brother, Joseph Morris, Portland, Ohio, two nieces, Mariah Langdon and Paiten Langdon, maternal grandmother, Linda Phillips, Rutland, Ohio, maternal grandfather, Robert Darst, Darwin, Ohio, paternal grandmother, Donna Stobart, Syracuse, paternal grandfather, John Wayne Stobart, Racine, step-father, Jason Rowe, Cheshire, two uncles, Shawn (Cheri) Stobart, Racine, Seth (Amy) Stobart, Midland, Texas, two aunts, Mary Darst, Cheshire and Carrie Darst, Parkersburg, W.Va., a very special friend, Kathy Bush, Darwin, and several cousins.
Shannon was preceded in death by his father, Shannon W. Stobart, on May 9, 2004.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Middleport-Pomeroy Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Charles Birchfield. Interment will be in the Letart Falls Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
