As I sit and read his obituary I'm hurt and confused. This man was a wonderful man who loved god, his family and life. He had more than one son and and more the two grandchildren. He had two step son's and a step daughter. He also had an additional two grandson and nine granddaughters. Along with 21 great grandchildren from Betsy's side. He is the grandfather most of Betsy's grandchildren knew. While it may not be important to whoever wrote this clearly didn't know how important family was to him. He will forever be one of the greatest men I know. The memories we share can't be taken away from us. I was there every moment I could. I love you to the heaven's and back.

Thank you for the comments mentioning family members on Betsys' side . Many things run thru ones' mind when they have to write tributes to a life...I'm sure it was easy to overlook people who also called him family.Let us not forget to mention his loving sister-in-law , Joan Newman. Joan and her late husband Frank spent a lot of time with Betsy and Bud and made some lovely memories.

Your were an amazing grandfather. You took on all of grandma's grand kids as gour own from day one. I will always remember our time together. The best road trip was tge one we went on to Ohio in the rv. I'm going to miss all of the fun wonderful times we had. You always had an open door for any of us kids. You kind, smart, funny, and you were important to me. I love you Grandpa
