Everett Eugene Spillman, 77, of Patriot, passed away, at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 in the St. Mary’s Medical Center, in Huntington, West Virginia. Born September 27, 1937 in Ironton, Ohio he was the son of the late Woodrow and Margaret Davis Spillman. Eugene was a retired school bus driver for the Gallia County Local School District. He was also an Assistant Pastor at the Zoars Pentecostal Church, in Lawrence County.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Emma Jean Jeffers Spillman whom he married on November 24, 1980 in Huntington, West Virginia, his children, Becky (Ted) Perry, of Huntington, WV., Debbie (Larry) Donnelly, of Elberta, Alabama, Mike Spillman, of Gallipolis, Linda (David) Brumfield, of Huntington, WV., Janet (John) Saenz, of San Antonio, Texas, Bobby (Joan) Chapman, of South Point, Oh., Glen (Angie) Chapman, of Chesapeake, Oh., Tina Chapman, of Huntington, WV., Beverly (Rick) Layne, of Wisconsin, Donald (Cheryl) Chapman, of Gallipolis, Evan (Tammy) Newman, of South Point, Oh., Chasity (Bernie) Mantejano, of Houston, Texas., Matthew (Sarah) Spillman, of Athens, Oh., Terry (Lesha) Chapman, of Huntington, WV. Sixty three grandchildren and great-grandchildren, several brothers and sisters in Ironton, South Point, and Kentucky and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday May 11, 2015 in the Cremeens Funeral Chapel, Gallipolis, with Pastor Tim Arthur officiating. Interment will follow in the Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
